Mission
We strive to improve the quality of life, level of functionality, cognition, and activity of our seniors while also supporting their caregivers. Our mission is to offer a non-drug alternative to respond to changes in memory. We focus on practical, scalable, repeatable, person-centered solutions, while engaging individuals, families, and caregivers.
Vision
To provide a quality day for seniors, one smile at a time.
We envision that our blend of technology, person-centered approach, and basis in science will be the first choice to support our seniors in their day and throughout the years. We see our solution supporting seniors with normal age-related changes in cognition so they can longer live independently. Being person-centered means that our solution adapts to individual changes in cognition over time. It also easily moves to different living arrangements and can become a companion across the life-span. Our solution aims to support the activities of daily living, increase functionality and level of activity, provide cognitive training, enhance a sense of community, and allow each person to continue sharing their life story and interest.
Values
Compassion
As we age, changes in cognition can create problems in thinking, sleep patterns, and behavior. Individuals experiencing these changes may feel disconnected from the people around them, disoriented, and anxious. This in turn places stress on caregivers.
We aim to alleviate individuals' stress as well as caregiver burden by providing non-drug behavioral interventions that are personalized, always available, and support independence.
Community
It is difficult to share one's life history, connect, communicate, and share interests when this information is not as readily recalled. Feeling disconnected can turn into feeling alone and being depressed.
Our goal is to improve communication, facilitate sharing of life stories and interests, and strengthen the relationships between individuals, friends, family, and care team.
Cognition
Memories are important for everyday functioning, for completing everyday activities, and for socializing.
Tailored to specific individuals' needs, our non-drug interventions cue and remind individuals about everyday activities. As a personal storyboard, the SimpleC solution makes past and current memories easily accessible. Memory for names and faces of senior's social circle are specifically trained.
